• Caterpillar Toddler Classroom Goals

We are working with all of our children to get them ready for our Ladybug Older Toddler Classroom. The following social and emotional goals are key in making sure your child will successfully be able to transition into the Ladybug classroom:

    -Follows one-step directions.

-Follows classroom rules and routine with 1-2 prompts.

-Takes off and puts on shoes with little or no help.

-Takes sheet and blanket off nap mat.

-Sits and eats appropriately at meals (no dump of food or beverages).

-Drinks with a cup without a lid.

-Uses their words (either sign or verbal) to get their needs (Help please, All done, More please, My turn, Give it back please, No thank you, etc.).

-Is building self help skills (walking into school on their own, putting on coat, washing hands, etc.).

-Listens to verbal instructions with 2-3 prompts.

-Able to say their own name and names of others around them.

-Is getting ready for potty training (dry between changes, doesn’t play in the toilet, etc).
